SCOPE OF WORK: The Community Mobilization Officer will support the area officer and the field assistants in engaging with the ITS community and ensure that all of our engagement and support have been properly understood.
Position objectives:
Liaise with the community and support the Area officer in their work in the community
Facilitate and co-facilitate training to community members and relevant stake holders

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program
Introduce IRC to the community present IRC program
Ensure that each ITS have an MoU and that the MoU
Support in the recruitment of the volunteers that will work in the CFS
Facilitate and co-facilitate training to community members and relevant stake holders
Support in the distribution of winterization kit
Keep a contact list of all the stakeholders
Support the coordination with IRC other sectors that are working in the same community
Raise any challenge to the CP Manager
Any other CP as required
Grant Monitoring & Reporting
Develop weekly and monthly plan for the mobilization team
Revise and compile weekly mobilization report
Ensure that all relevant financial documentation is completed accurately as required by IRC finance policy.
Coordination & Representation
Attend CP coordination meeting when required
Liaise and collaborate with other mobilization actors when required
Maintain positive coordination and relationships with partner and other IRC sector staff.
Other
Ensure activities are done in accordance with IRC logistics policy and in a timely manner to ensure the successful implementation of programs;
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs
Professional Standards
All IRC staff are required to adhere to THE IRC Way Standards for Professional Conduct and the IRC country employment policies.
REQUIREMENTS:
University degree in social science preferably
Experience in working in community mobilization or liaison work
Experience in working in emergencies
Experience in working in NGO mandatory
Experience in working with children preferable
Management experience preferably
Seven years of relevant work experience in development work and working in community mobilization
Experience in facilitating of trainings
Fluency in Arabic mandatory and conversation and written English an advantage
Proficient in Word and excel
Travel and other requirements: Staff will be based in either the North or Beka’a Governorates, with some travel required between the governorates and the main IRC office in Beirut.
