Short Term Consultancy For Database Design And Management

Description: World Learning is looking for a consultant to support the M&E Manager and the ICT Manager in areas related to monitoring database performance; evaluating and resolving processing and programming problems; and designing database management tools. The consultancy will be under the USAID-funded D-RASATI II education project in Lebanon. Duration: 20 days. Background: This position will support a project aimed at training English teachers, developing extra-curricular activities, providing schools with ICT equipment and training, and school leadership development in order to enhance student achievement in public schools. Consultancy Deliverables: Design database according to the reporting requirements for monitoring and evaluation Consult with managers and end-users concerning the outline of data requirements Assist in preparing data collection tools to facilitate data entry Perform data entry and review data entered by other parties Execute complex database queries for analysis and reporting Other related requested task   Qualifications: The consultant should have a Bachelor Degree in Data Base Management or in a related field of study; and should demonstrate the following experience: At-least 5 years’ experience in Data Base Management Proven ability in designing and managing databases Fluency in English, both verbal and written as well as fluency in Arabic is required.  Knowledge of French preferred.
