Role and Responsibilities Working as an important member of a diverse team, the driver supports the Mapping Project of the Medair Zahle base and its projects by driving staff to locations, maintaining the vehicle allocated as per Medair guidelines and assisting with other day to day processes. Medair’s team in Lebanon is implementing an emergency shelter project with non-food item distributions, site improvement and mapping activities in the Bekaa Valley. Medair Medair brings life-saving relief and rehabilitation in disasters, conflict areas, and other crises by working alongside the most vulnerable. Founded in 1989, Medair’s unwavering commitment continues to bring hope to the world’s most vulnerable.  Key Activity Areas Vehicle Control: Responsibility for driving, with ultimate care and security, project staff to locations where Medair implements its work and transporting project-related supplies and documents to required locations. Responsibility of accurate administration related to vehicle and fuel log books. Vehicle Maintenance: Daily checks, weekly checks and general maintenance (including filling the gas-tank) and cleanness of the allocated Medair vehicle as per Medair guidelines. Security: General awareness of security procedures and guidelines in place; abide by them and report any security-related incidents or risks/threats to the main Base Security Focal Point (SFP). Specification Clean driving license held for minimum 3 years Professional driver for minimum 1 year Confident 4x4 driver Basic mechanic training/ knowledge Familiar with Zahle and West Bekaa locations Previous NGO work experience preferred Due to insurance requirements applicants must be over 23 years of age.
