Assistant Project

Assistant Project Khenshara, Metn region, Lebanon  We are seeking a full time Assistant Project for our projects dedicated to Syrian refugee children at risk in Lebanon.  The contract is initially for six months with the possibility of extension depending on the needs. This post is based in Metn Lebanon. This post will appeal to those with a passion for helping children. You will bring administration experience in a multicultural relief environment, preferably with Syrian refugees. The local assistant will be under the supervision of the Center Director of the Khenshara Community Center, the responsibilities of the assistant will include providing support for the daily management of the Kenshara Center.  RESPONSIBILITIES: - Providing project management support through assisting in maintaining accounting  records,  ensuring  compliance  with the budget of the project, purchasing office supplies and maintaining inventory; - Maintaining contact with local and international stakeholders; - Scheduling meetings and drafting minutes; - Monitoring the activities in the center  - Monitoring the outreach activities - Performing other administrative tasks as required; - Supporting in Arabic/English or French translations occasionally;  PERSON SPECIFICATIONS: - University degree; - Experience in bookkeeping and accounting systems or other administrative experience; - Experience in dealing with national authorities and with national and international partners (other NGOs, UN,etc…); - Knowledge of IBM platforms: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc…; - Experience in working in humanitarian field and especially in Child Protection sector would be an asset; - Arabic mother tongue or excellent knowledge of Arabic (written and oral); - English and/or French skills (written and oral); - Lebanese citizenship; PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: - Well-organized and able to juggle multiple priorities at one time; - Capacity to adapt to multidisciplinary work in a multicultural environment; - Good interpersonal and communication skills; - Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines; - Willingness to travel within Lebanon;  - Due to the nature of the post we are looking for applicants who have the right to live and work in Lebanon.
