Communications/reporting Intern

Management Systems International (MSI) is seeking a part-time intern to assist with reporting and monitoring tasks under the USAID-funded Promoting Active Citizen Engagement (PACE) program, which aims to strengthen civil society capacity to act as a catalyst for change through civic participation and advocacy. The intern will assist with drafting brief reports and success stories about the activities of PACE partners in various parts of the country. This will require carrying out basic research, reviewing background documents, as well as conducting field visits and interviews with partners, beneficiaries, and project staff.  The intern should preferably be a student in journalism/communications or social/political sciences, who is fluent in English and Arabic. Excellent writing skills in English are essential for this position, in addition to good analytical skills and interest in civil society. This is an unpaid position but MSI will provide a stipend to cover transportation and other expenses. The position will provide an opportunity to acquire work experience, network with civil society activists and development professionals, and work with a dynamic team on an exciting program. To apply, please submit an up-to-date CV and brief cover letter (both in English) by January 27, 2014, including your time availability. Only finalists will be contacted for an interview.
