Scope of responsibility: Under the responsibility of the Health Educator Supervisor Carry out interface promotional activities with the population and the staff and beneficiaries of organisations, in accordance with the MSF health activities Function responsibilities: In the Community: Deliver information to the community (regarding health and mental health, hygiene, diseases and prevention) using tools (e.g leaflet) and interaction with the people Active case finding: Identify people with some problems/diseases (keep a count of focused disease cases) and make referrals to the health facility supported by MSF (e.g malnutrition, convulsions, massive diarrhea…etc) Promote MSF and raise awareness about health and mental health at household level. Sensitize about mental health medical staff of the health facilities present in the community strengthening referrals’ mechanisms to MSF services.  Support the Health Promoter in organizing educational and sensitization sessions for the target population focused on health messages & promotion, Mental Health and services offered by MSF, within MSF clinics’ sites and in the community. Improve the understanding of the target population on Mental Health. Is always respectful and culturally sensitive towards patients, collaborators and MSF staff. Reporting: Submit a weekly activities report to the HP Reports all-important information linked to the function activities that should be communicate to the hierarchy Report to the deputy Fieldco and/or Fieldco any security related issues
