Emergency Project Coordinator

Responsibilities Strategy and Programs Oversee the implementation of  War Child response to the refugee crisis in Lebanon, ensuring a standard of quality in all aspects of the Emergency Project Regular follow up and monitoring of the Syrian Refugees Emergency Project. Responsible for the achievement of the objectives of the project proposal Ensure program activities are implemented in accordance with the proposed activities in emergency grants, including      ensuring that procurement is carried according to project plans. Ensure, promote and facilitate that the principles of child protection and child participation are integrated into all      project activities and communication with project staff, children and communities targeted by the project. Ensure a strict adherence to War Child Holland Child Protection Policy at all times, including respect for confidentiality and child centred approach. Ensure the use of  the WCH tools and formats for PME in close collaboration with the Programme      Emergency Manager.  Represent WCH Lebanon in relevant working groups and other coordination platforms Support Advocacy, Communications and  Child Protection Programming as needed Provide the Partners with content support and organizational capacity building support.   Projects and Administration Responsible for the operational management of the project, including coordination with the logistics and administration department. Responsible for the management, recruitment, supervision, support, training and performance appraisal of the emergency project staff Responsible for writing the monthly and donors reports Program regular visits to the partners to ensure the quality of the project General Work closely and effectively with the War Child Holland Lebanon Team. Liaise  and coordinate with the government/ UN agencies and National-International NGOs Coordinate  trainings, workshops and conferences. Liaise with professional counterparts of (inter)national authorities and  organizations; Timely identify, inform and discuss any issues with his/her supervisor Weekly control the budget to ensure proper expenditure of each budget line Any other tasks deemed appropriate by the Representative. Reporting Reports to the Emergency Program Coordinator. Applicant’s Profile: 3 years of experience working in child centered programming in the region Experience  in Educational projects Extensive knowledge in planning, monitoring and evaluation including developing tools and supporting local partners Ability to adapt and be capable in dealing with difficult security conditions Experience  in psychosocial support programming Background/knowledge in child rights Familiarity with creative methodologies Good writing skills Capacity to work in small teams and flexibility to take on new tasks Strong social and communication skills Fluency in English (fluency in Arabic is an asset). Driving  license required. Conditions Full time job of 40 hours per week, distributed in five days according the needs of the program. Competitive  remuneration. Local  contract. The staff will follow the Terms and Conditions of employment of War Child Holland in Lebanon.
