Security Analyst/coordinator

The OTI Lebanon project is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development's Office of Transition Initiative (USAID/OTI) through a contract with Chemonics International. The project provides grants to a variety of institutions, including international and Lebanese NGOs, community based organizations, governmental entities, or informal groups, to implement demand driven project activities.   Chemonics seeks a security analyst/coordinator to serve as the security focal point, ensure that all staff are trained and briefed on security procedures and protocols. The security analyst/coordinator will conduct a security assessment, contribute to the revision of the security platform and will cultivate a security network nationwide. The security analyst/coordinator is responsible for liaising with UN agencies, NGOs and other external actors to gain security information and analysis in the region. The security analyst/coordinator will also track, analyze and report on political and security incidents and events and will coordinate vehicle movements and field visits. This contract is for one year, based in Beirut, with frequent travel throughout Lebanon required.     Qualifications:     ·        3-5 years of experience working with international organizations or donors in Lebanon ·        Security and logistics experience preferred ·        Ability to maintain contact and exchange information with other organizations regarding the fluid environment in Lebanon ·        Ability to travel throughout Lebanon ·        Oral and written fluency in English and Arabic preferred
