Support Manager

General Description of Role   The Support Manager is responsible for the overall management of Relief International operational activities in Lebanon.  This includes direct line management of the support, operational staff (HR, Administration, Logistic and Finance). It is envisaged that the Support Manager time will be primarily spent on overall management and administration, resource mobilization. In addition, his/her role will be to support the program team as needed on reporting and program management. The Support Manager will particularly support the financial department in terms of reporting to donors, budget follow up and spend down. This person is expected to liaise at the national level with government, donors and local and international stakeholders when requested by the Head of Office and Programs and the Regional Country Director.  It is expected that the Support Manager will be an integral member of various committees and represent RI in related forums when necessary, to assist with the direction and oversight of common program practices and processes and information sharing. The Support Manager will be the focal point in RI Lebanon mission when the Head of Office and Programs is away and will become the SFP. This is a national position with national contract (international can also apply)   Required Qualifications   At least 5 years management experience in international emergency/development, including the capacity to manage budgets, staff and programs, preferably with an international NGO, and tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in international development, administration, management or a related field. Proven skills in finance management with international donors Representational skills including experience developing networks and relationships with government, civil society and other stakeholders to secure smooth program implementation S/he must be fluent in both spoken and written Arabic and English languages.
