Community Health Worker -Saida

Scope of responsibilities: Carry out interface-activities between the health structure supported by MSF and the population, in accordance with the MSF health activities. Function responsibilities: In the community Deliver information to the community (regarding MH,  hygiene , diseases and prevention) using tools (e.g leaflet) and interaction with the people Active case finding: Identify people with some problems/diseases (keep a count of focused disease cases) and make reference to the  MSF PHC clinic Organize, participate and conduct mental health related  HP activities in the community Promote MSF services in the community Refer beneficiaries to MSF mental health consultations. In the Clinics Carry out health related promotion activities in the PHC waiting area (regarding hygiene, diseases and prevention) using tools and interaction with people Carry out IEC activities in the waiting rooms of MSF’s mental health facilities of EEH/Saida   Carry out MSF service promotion activities to the outreach members of Saida/EEH NGO’s / paramedical organizations. Reporting Reports all-important information linked to the function activities that should be communicate to the hierarchy Report monthly the detail of all activities, indicating number of participant, number of referral, etc.. Report to line manager  all rumors/mis-perception of MSF activities heard in the community  Inform the hierarchy when unstable situation (social, emergency, security) is seen, asessed or faced.  Other Upon request Specific activities linked to the context Work as a member of a multidisciplinary team and ensure a good flow of communication of any relevant information. Actively participate in medical meetings as well as community mental health events/activities.
