Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC, Health and Nutrition, Food Security & Livelihood, Shelter, and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.
Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, for its Lebanon Country Office, in the following locations Beirut, Tripoli, Akkar and Bekaa:
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
Key activities include:
Gather information from technical advisors and other relevant team members, assessment teams and sitreps and other relevant sources necessary for drafting proposals and budgets
Facilitate project design sessions and proposal team meetings
Consult relevant technical advisors (sectors and MEAL) on specific programme interventions, as well as work closely with Field Offices, Finance, Logistics, HR and Awards Management units to develop budgets
Facilitate technical and cost reviews and approvals, both internal and by SC members
Provide additionally requested information in relation to proposals from donor, SCI or members promptly and accurately and make necessary revisions based on feedback
Manage proposal amendments
Help ensure complete and donor format compliant proposal/ concept note submissions
Ensure adherence to key calendar deadlines
Liaise with Save the Children members to follow up on submissions/approvals of proposals
Contribute to tracking active awards and proposal pipeline
Ensure relevant staff have access to newly approved proposal documents
Develop proposal writing templates; proposal checklists; proposal calendars/ timelines and share with relevant colleagues

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required; Master’s Degree desirable
· Significant experience from working in an INGO/local NGO, preferably in both humanitarian and development programmes
· Demonstrable competence and experience in proposal development for several technical sectors and key donors
· Good programme design skills, including capacity to prepare coherent and consistent documents. including workplans and log frames
· Knowledge of key donors and their requirements, including the EC, ECHO, UN agencies, DFID and OFDA/USAID
· Experience in budget expenditure monitoring desirable
· Ability to work calmly under pressure in a rapidly changing, multi-cultural context, and adhering to strict deadlines
· Ability to be adaptable and flexible
· Ability and willingness to travel regularly into the field
· Ability to analyze information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically
· Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
· Fluency in written and spoken English
