Project Coordinator- Baalbek, Lebanon

Dari has been active in the Bekaa region since 2007 in particular researching and collecting data on Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) as well as implementing support services for women and children through a community center in Baalbek and in direct and active collaboration with the SDCs of Ministry of Social Affairs                                  In partnership with Heartland Alliance, Dari is in the process of launching a safe women space that provides holistic services focusing on psychosocial support, violence prevention, livelihoods strengthening and social cohesion to diverse vulnerable populations affected by the Syrian refugee crisis, including women and girls, survivors of SGBV, torture and trauma.    Summary: The project coordinator will be based in Baalbek and manage the space set up in the community and will be responsible for over-looking the implementation of all activities which include case management, psychosocial support, youth (young girls) community engagement, life skills and vocational training as well as outreach awareness raising.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   Participate in planning and developing all program activities at the Safe Women Space in consultation with the management of the organization. Implement all the program activities based on the program objectives and intermediate results reflected in the implementation plan, ensuring the timely delivery of a quality program. Manage and upkeep the space. Coordinate and monitor the implementation of the activities with all appointed staff Report  weekly and monthly on the work progress Support and work closely with the community to ensure active coordination and follow up on the program sustainability Organize all related events including trainings and community meetings/events ensuring that participants are informed, event packages are prepared and all logistics are organized Ensure activities are developed in partnership with relevant local authorities and other key stakeholders, including local partners (where present) and aim to establish/strengthen processes and mechanisms at local and district levels. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE  Essential: At Least three years of experience in relevant field Bachelor Degree in a social sciences or related field Training, facilitation and coaching skills Excellent communication and presentation skills. Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic skills. Excellent computer skills. Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively within a team. Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of crisis or emergency.
