Security Officer

Within the framework of the initiatives promoted in the Palestinian camps and surrounding areas in Tyre, Saida and Tripoli in support of people affected by the Syrian crisis and funded by ECHO, TdH-It is looking for a Security Officer to join our team in order to ensure adequate security risk management in the field. Main duties and responsibilities: Conduct security assessments and threat analysis of operating environment; Attend security meetings and prepare security reports; Ensure the payment processing for all the contracted vehicles (light and heavy vehicles) are done in timely manner; Support in the procurement procedures Liaise with the local authorities and inform them about the distribution schedule; Be present during distributions in order to maximize staff and resources safety; Send incidents reports to the Project Manager; Ensure appropriate use of vehicles by all staff (e.g. use of seatbelts, adherence to speed limits, vehicle booking process and      movement monitoring system) Keep staff up to date on security developments; Ensure the implementation of the minimum security management procedures and standards in the area of operations; Provide regular briefings and updates to the team; Liaise with other NGO’s, UN agencies, government bodies and attend relevant security meetings; Work closely with the Project Manager; Monitor staff movements tracking systems and provide regular info to staff on safety; Other duties as required. The qualified candidate must be flexible in this regard!                 Qualifications, experience and competencies               At least one year of experience working in security management College degree in a field related in Social Sciences, Law or Security Management or equivalent experience in a related field. Good command of Arabic and English. Gives attention to detail and has an analytical mindset. Good communication skills. Good Team player Willingness to multi-task Able to take independence of action when required Proven ability to work effectively under pressure displaying sound initiative and good judgment Excellent networker Have mature  judgment Computer literate Hold a valid driving license   Conditions Full time job of 40 hours per week, distributed in five days according the needs of the program.
