Finance Officer

Finance Officer Solidar Switzerland is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) whose purpose is
to assist disadvantaged, persecuted and oppressed people in Switzerland and abroad with material support and by helping them to help themselves. The institution established in 1936 works for social justice and fights against exclusion and the division of society. Solidar Switzerland has been operating in Lebanon since September 2012 implementing programs in Food Security, Non Food Item distribution and emergency response.  Solidar Switzerland is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Finance Officer  to support the financial operations  of relief projects in Jezzine,  Saida and Nabatieh. Tasks and responsibilities  Finance Check all financial / procurement related documents and verify before any payments are made by Solidar and ensure that they are reflected in correct budget category Responsible for accounting data entry and transactions into financial system and take necessary action for correction of errors before sending to Finance and Admin Manager Prepare the cash and cheque vouchers and official receipts for the relevant month  Check the bills and vouchers of the project and admin related documents and prepare submissions each month Attend to bank related work Prepare monthly reconciliation statements Prepare the payroll of solidar staff takinga account of attendance,annual and sick leave Assist Finance and Administration Manager and Project Coordinator in the preparation of monthly budget vs actual (BVA's) Verify purchase requests for budgetary allocation before Logistics department processes the request Follow up on all cash transfers Render support and assistance to field staff for project finance reporting Ensure proper filing and indexation of financial documents Manage Project and other advances, and ensure they are settled on time      Other tasks Liaise with Logistic and Project staff in respect to Admin & Finance matters Attend meetings relating to admin and finance Any other duties assigned by the line manager
