Social Worker Assistant - Haret Hreik - Part Time “Morning”

Assignment The social worker assistant works under the direct supervision of the Head of Center and is based in the Center where educational or health activities are organized. In addition to the part time working agreement, the social worker assistant  is expected to work unconventional hours whenever there is a major activity (like a trip, celebration, etc.)   Tasks and duties   Task #1/ Follow up the educational activities for adolescents, youth and adults: -          Assist in assessing the needs and priorities of the targeted beneficiaries and define suitable activities based on participatory approach; -          Assist in registration and follow-up attendance to the sessions, report absences and propose appropriate measures when needed; -          Assist in developping and follow-up on educational activities, health awareness sessions, and recreational activities for adolescents, youth and adults;   Task #2/ Monitoring and evaluation: Social worker assistant is in charge of the recreational and psychosocial activities, She/he has the responsibility of assessing the activities with adolescents, youth and adults by designing and filling evaluation tools such as: Create a file for each youth and men   Task #3/ Reporting/ Meetings -      Prepare regular reports :             Ÿ   Assist in preparing monthly reports on activities       Ÿ Assist in preparing monthly information sheet and other reports assigned by the center’s responsible Summaries on each implemented activity once achieved -      Attend and actively participate to weekly youth department meeting. -      Participate, as requested, in workshops and coordination meetings intended to improve professional knowledge and skills relevant to assigned responsibilities. Other duties -      Assist the center responsible in planning, monitoring, and evaluation and follow up on all activities of the community center; if needed. -      Mobilize community support and participation in the various community based activities; -      Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Application Submission Guidelines
• Minimum 1 year of experience in development programs, preferably working in livelihoods • Experience in field work and community mobilization, particularly of youth • Experience in conducting training and sensitization sessions for communities and beneficiaries • Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and very good in English • Computer skills • Strength in interpersonal, communication and presentation skills • Flexibility and willingness to change work practices and hours, and capability to work in insecure environment
