Food Aid And E-Voucher Reporting Coordinator (Beirut)

Save the Children has been operating in Lebanon since 1999 and is recognized for its commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration.  Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC, Health and Nutrition, Food Security & Livelihood, Shelter, and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.   Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, for its Lebanon Country Office, in the following locations Beirut, Tripoli, Akkar and Bekaa:   ROLE PURPOSE: To ensure that accurate monthly Commodity and other related reports are prepared and submitted to the concerned, especially the Reporting Coordinator on a regular basis.   KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY: Reporting: I.                    For Food Related Programs Liaise with the various storage and distribution locations to ensure proper, accurate reports are submitted in time to the Beirut Office Review all commodity reports from the storage points and distribution locations and take appropriate action if any discrepancies are noticed Prepare a consolidated Monthly Distribution Report (MDR) for submission to WFP within the specified time period and ensure its accuracy Provide a copy of the MDR to Finance for further action The MDR should be accompanied by a narrative report to assist the Reporting Coordinator to finalize the monthly reporting to donor/s. Prepare the Commodity Receipts Report (CRR) for submission to the SC US office in Westport by the 10th of each month for the preceding month Coordinate with Logistics to ensure physical counts are undertaken at each warehouse location on the last working day of each month and reconcile any differences between physical balances and book balances. Responsible for the preparation of quarterly commodity receipt and distribution reports for submission to the Reporting Coordinator. Undertake periodical visits to storage and distribution sites to ensure that standard warehouse practices are followed. Be the focal point for reporting on all losses and/or damages to the donor in a timely manner   II.                  For E-Voucher Program Liaise with all points distributing E-vouchers and collect information / data in the formats as prescribed by the donor Prepare / Consolidate report for the E-Voucher program for submission to the Reporting Coordinator   External Relationships WFP – focal point for      reports   Other Comply with Save the Children policies and practice with respect to child protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.   QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Essential Degree in Economics      and/or Finance, or similar field Strong experience of      humanitarian food security and & livelihoods programming; experience      in cash and voucher programming is essential Excellent time      management skills Strong experience in data      collection and analysis Fluency in written and spoken English Computer skills (especially      Excel) Strength      in interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Previous      experience of liaising with the UN, national and donor governments and      NGOs as advantage. Flexibility      and willingness to change work practices and hours, and capability to work      in insecure environment  Available and willing      to travel throughout Lebanon   Desirable Spoken and written      Arabic Previous experience in      commodity (food and non-food items) handling and accounting Knowledge of and experience of working in Middle East ideally with refugee communities in Lebanon   APPLICATION PROCESS   Please note that the closing date for applications is: For External applicants on October 6th  .                    The selection committee will review all applications as they are received.
