Advocate that the agreed minimum standards of the sector are met by UNHCR and other agencies in the design and delivery of humanitarian assistance.
Support efforts to improve targeting persons of concern with specific needs, through social/vulnerability profiling or needs assessment.
Protection Coordination, including SGBV and CPiE
1. Participate in appropriate sectorial coordination meetings
- Participate in protection coordination meetings such as PWG, SGBV TF and CPiE WG, as well as Technical WGs (PSS/CFS and Case Management) and joint WGs.
- Ensure active participation to the protection coordination meetings at the field level;
- Ensure the integration of Protection, SGBV, CP in other sectors (such as education, shelter) through a representation of protection coordination, when required.
2. Provide secretariat/logistics support to coordinators
- Provide secretariat support to the Protection Coordination sector, including taking minutes of the meetings, keeping recipients' list updated, drafting and/or printing out the supporting materials.
- Support information management through the design and regular update of the protection coordination tools, such as 5W matrix, work-plan, matrix of training.
- Support the drafting of guidelines, strategy and other documents produced by the protection coordination sectors.
- Support and facilitate capacity building initiatives planed by the coordination sectors.
3. Ensure Information Monitoring and Management
- Compile reports, screen, extract and consolidate relevant data and information related to protection, CP and SGBV and share on a regular basis with coordinators for information and analysis.
- Maintain information sharing between field working groups and national working group through regular two-ways feedbacks on issues of interest.
- Ensure monitoring of the working groups work plans at the national and field level, update the coordinators and provide support if needed.
