Surveyors (Enumerators)

Job Description    Enumerator The enumerators occupy a central position in the survey since it is them who collect the information according to their specific role in the survey. Therefore, the success of the data collection and the whole data reliability depends on the skills of every enumerator and its ability to conduct the related tasks. Skills and required abilities: to be able to read, write and count; know the area to survey; be reliable and friendly. Tasks:  Identifies the eligible people in the household and manages the questionnaires. Take anthropometric measurements of children in collaboration with their mothers (weight, height, mid-upper arm circumference, presence of oedema, Hemocue). Uses a local events calendar to estimate the age. Verifies systematically if all questions have been asked and that the recorded answers are clear and legible. Returns, if necessary, to the Household for complement of information or measures. Respects the time required for measurements, breaks and meals. Takes care of the equipment. Follows security measures. SCHEDULE AND DAYS OF WORK: candidates are required to be available during a period of approximately 1 month. A 7 days training then field work -data collection- will take place all around Lebanon (travelling and sleeping out of home required). Because of the limited duration of the survey, their function and responsibilities, candidates are asked for flexibility in terms of hours and days (working Saturdays and/or Sundays when needed)  Experience required: Less than one year Education degree: Bachelor Degree  in the Field Health/ Nutrition/ Medical Lab/ Social sciences:  the Enumerators  must have the following qualification: should be able to write and read English and  they should have sufficient level of Arabic education, as they will need to read and write fluently and count accurately.   They should have Knowledge in the field of health/ nutrition/ Medical lab/ Social Sciences: Experience in the field of surveys. They should be physically fit to walk long distances and carry the measuring equipment.   Calm, patient, organized and good communicator and able to work in teams, serious, rigorous, accountable and available.  Knowledge of humanitarian principles and Good knowledge of the region and local languages. Languages Arabic: Fluent English: Good French: Basic Period: 1 month
