Trainer

  Job purpose   Partners for Democratic Change International (PDCI) and PeaceLabz are looking for a trainer  to support the EU funded project “Establishing conflict resilient communities in the North of Lebanon”. Are you an enthusiastic, experienced individual and willing to travel from time to time to the North? Then we would be happy to meet you. The project “Establishing conflict resilient communities in the North of Lebanon” is jointly achieved by PDCI and PeaceLabz. The trainer will join the Team at PeaceLabz in Beirut and report to the Program Coordinator at Peace Labz. PDCI is an international non-governmental association, based in Belgium. It is a global partnership of nineteen independent, local organizations in Europe, the Americas and the Middle East that work to advance civil society, good governance and a culture of change and conflict management worldwide. PeaceLabz is a non-governmental organization, who's vision is to transform conflicts nonviolently. The Team is based in Lebanon and in order to empower Lebanese communities to address conflicts and to prevent violence, they work closely with local            leaders, community based organizations and international donors.    Key responsibilities   Report on activities to Peace Labz project coordinator Write evaluation report on each performed activity 4 x4 day training manual : prepare manual together with PDCI Perform 4x4 day trainings, consult with PDCI, project coordinator and Facilitator on the respective needs (according to the needs of the communities, prepare the following: Introduction to conflict-sensitive development planning and implementation, Stakeholder analysis, Participatory assessment, Conflict resolution tools, techniques and skills (mediation skills, facilitation skills, consensus building, problem solving and second set includes: Community outreach skills and mentoring skills (information sharing, feedback and evaluation, community visioning), Monitoring and evaluation techniques for conflict mitigation techniques, Report and proposal writing, Basic project management skills). Prepare and perform 1 day Lessons learnt forum Qualifications and skills Strong communication and team work skills Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English Able to work independently and energetically Good organizational skills and translation skills are a plus Experience required: 3 to 5 years Education degree: Bachelor Degree.  Field of education: Relevant degree or similar education - Relevant experience in similar context Part-Time position Please send your CV with the cover letter to info@peacelabz.org
