Manager Of Sports Programs, Lebanon

Manage the Sports Program and Sports Development team. Identify human resources for the Sports Development team and help in the recruitment of staff. Capacity building of the Sports Development staff. Identify sports centers through which PACES will work with children in different refugee camps and marginalized communities. Participate in the selection and evaluation of coaches nominated by the sports centers. Insure all coaches are fully aware of, and committed to, PACES’ Code of Conduct, its policies, procedures. Annual evaluation of the sports centers’ coaches. Annual evaluation of the Sports Development staff. Coordinate, design and/or implement workshops to enhance the skills and coaching techniques of the coaches. Develop the Sports Calendar, which includes specific dates for practice sessions, training camps for children participating in international tournaments, and workshops for PACES’ coaches. Contribute to developing the administrative calendar, which includes official holidays, school exams and other key dates. Conduct at least 30 visits per week to different practice sessions to insure the practice sessions are taking place as scheduled and the coaches are following PACES’ sports curriculum. Provide bi-weekly technical reports covering site visits. Provide monthly, detailed technical reports for each program location, which should include, but is not limited to, the status of coaches' professional level, the group’s development for the month, recommendations, and actions to improve performance. Assist in continuing development of the sports curriculum. Participate in annual evaluation of all participating sports centers and make recommendations on possible changes, disassociations or additions. Participate in the development of the annual growth plan. Any other tasks as may be assigned by the Country Manager. The position will entail both field and office work, with a total of 40 hours per week.

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, or a relevant field from a recognized university;
• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in administration and management of sport programs in a team environment; strong organizational, networking and representational skills; and an ability to manage a very varied and changing workload;
• Highly familiar with sports programs for children;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written, oral, cross-cultural);
• Proven reporting skills particularly in English;
• Fluency in Arabic and English;
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Applications and in handling of web-based management systems;
