Field Officer (Female)

Job duties include: Regular travel to field locations across Tyre/Bintjibail (high flexibility required) Developing and maintaining relations with refugee and host communities, local authorities and other local actors, representing SHEILD and its donors in a professional and approachable manner. Support the selection and registration of project beneficiaries. Support the distribution of non-food item kits in an effective and efficient manner, and monitor progress of light shelter repair work, through on the ground work and liaising with the SHEILD management and distribution teams.  Assist in formal and informal monitoring and evaluation of activities, and in identifying needs and gaps in assistance. Assist in accompanying and briefing donor and organizational visitors on activities in the field. Collect and analyze information received from implementing and operational humanitarian partners. Counseling refugees and host communities on services and activities, including individual case assessment and follow-up. Participate in relevant assessments as needed and attend relevant meetings at field level. Other duties as required. The qualified candidate must be flexible in this regard.   Qualifications: Strong Arabic AND English reading, writing and comprehension skills, both languages are a must! Previous experience with an NGO preferred, especially within fieldwork and a/or distribution projects. Able to work outside of regular working hours as required, including evenings and weekends if required. Able to work in a team setting, friendly and approachable to the other staff and beneficiaries.
