I- Main Responsibilities: Participate to the setting up of a community-based mental health service in Ein el Helwi camp (adult psychiatry) Perform psychiatric diagnostics and treatment (including psychotropic treatment), perform consultations (group or individual) Participate to the supervision of mental health team by holding regular case conferences and by being available for individual discussions of patients Participate in developing guidelines and protocols for treatment, training staff and supervision Participate to the organisation and implementation of structured trainings on mental health issues for the health professionals of organisations MSF will be collaborating with in the area Participate to the organisation and implementation trainings for the staff of other NGOs and institutions (mainly on burnout prevention, recognizing mental issues and counselling skills) Participate to the collection of health statistics and analysis as well as the writing of medical reports Assist and advise on the organisation of preventive activities (e.g. health education lessons) Together with the medical team set up procedures for patients referral and admission points and their follow-up Contribute to the coordination of activities with all organisations that are active in the mental health field Coordinate with the Field coordinator and the medical team all project activities, participate to regular staff meetings: organizational and professional Actively participate in project discussions and necessary adaptations of the project and activities plan II- Requirements and Application: Experienced psychiatrist (at least two years of professional experience in different areas of adult psychiatry, with psychotic, neurotic, addicted, geriatric and mentally handicapped patients and with severe personality disorders) Valid certificate to exercise the profession and prescribe, registered with relevant authorities in Lebanon Critical attitude and close follow up of the psychiatry and psychology literature and adopting a holistic approach Prior experience with NGO’s or volunteer work an asset Strong management and co-ordination skills
