Information Management Officer

 Objectives 1 Establish and/or contextualize a response information/knowledge management system to meet response needs   Define and agree on common protocols for internal and external information sharing Work closely with Information and Communication Technology focal points Map out the already available successful IM/KM systems internal and external to WV Adapt the system identified to the office’s needs 2 Compile and analyze relevant information to inform response design, programme management, operational improvement and promote learning   Compile and synthesize data and information from internal (assessment, monitoring community feedback, context assessment) and external (UN agencies, sectors, other agencies, etc.) sources Conduct regular analysis of information collected and provide  recommendations to inform ongoing programme improvement, promote learning and support implementation Map and compile programme information in a user friendly manner to share as required with internal and external stakeholders Work closely with different departments to ensure comprehensive and effective information gathering and dissemination. 3 Share programme information with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis to meet their information requirements   Lead the preparation and sharing of reports to relevant stakeholders in coordination with communications Lead the preparation and sharing of programme progress report to management based on analysis of collected information/data Coordinate information sharing with Programmes, Operations and Liaison to ensure external reporting requirements (i.e. Sectors, Government, and other local stakeholders) are met Coordinate with the Communications Department to ensure information is regularly updated

Education Degree Details
- University Bachelor degree in a field related to community development work preferably in fields such as sociology, international or political studies, humanitarian law, public health, population studies and others. Master Degree in those fields is preferred.
- Certificate or equivalent in computer sciences
- Strong database development/maintenance skills/former experience
- Minimum 1 year in academic research and/or Monitoring and Evaluation
- Excellent written English, with good command of spoken Arabic and English
- Critical thinking, analytical, and detail orientation skills are essential
- Good Research, data gathering, skills/former experience
- Good Interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and with a team
- Computer literate with a high degree of proficiency and productivity
- Good understanding of the relief and the development industries
