The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a humanitarian, non-governmental and non-profit organization, founded in 1956, that works in more than 30 countries around the world. DRC has been operating in Lebanon since 2004, working with Palestinian and Iraqi refugees, as well as Lebanese communities affected by the war in 2006. DRC is committed to basic humanitarian principles; including impartiality and neutrality, and offers the highest standards of accountability to the people it serves.
DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011, and the Bekaa valley since February 2012. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities and rehabilitation of collective shelters.
DRC is inviting local candidates to apply for the position of PDM Officer - Akkar, to support its activities.
Key Responsibilities
Vouchers System
-Identify and Map potential partner shops to be enrolled in the Voucher System
-Train the selected shops and provide them with necessary tools and info material
-Responsible for organizing the printing of the Distribution Lists and Info Material
-Coordinate the daily collection, counting and scanning of the vouchers (both distributed and undistributed)
-Support the Distribution Manager in ensuring that the Service List and Vouchers are ready for the daily distribution
PDM
-Support the distribution manager in organizing the PDM activities
-Coordinate the PDM teams in their daily tasks
-Responsible for conducting the market price assessment, value chain analysis and shops keeper interviews in partner and non-partner shops
-Follow-up and, if needed, provide support to the IP conducting PDM assessment with both registered and unregistered beneficiaries
-If needed, conduct door to door interviews and/or focus group discussion with families benefiting of vouchers
-Responsible for uploading the PDM forms filled through the androids
-Responsible for compiling all the data collected during the market monitoring in a clearly analysable excel form
Other Tasks:
-Deal with complaints or issue related to vouchers
-Represent DRC before the shop owners
-Organise the daily / weekly / monthly work plan, in coordination with the Distribution Manager
-Support the distribution manager in drafting the reports by providing him/her with relevant info related to the vouchers’ issues
Requirements:
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Ability to work under pressure
Flexibility in terms of working hours and working locations
Social work experience (advantage)
Ability to type in Arabic and English
Fluent in Arabic and good English
