Food Security Officer

ACF is implementing humanitarian interventions in Lebanon focused on health, Food Security & Livelihoods programs. The overall goal for the position will be to design ACF Food Security and resilience strategy and contribute  its implementation in order to maximise ACF impact and address the needs in the country.     Specific Duties and Responsabilites : The Food Security Officer will be responsabile for :   1- Programme implementation   To Facilitate community mobilization, meetings and trainings during community led FSL activities in collaboration with the Capacity Building team of the project; To work with community committees and the appropriate line departments to ensure the set up of the Project and provide information to ensure accountability fairness and transparency during implementation of activities;  To work closely with community structures to follow up on implementation of planned community activities, with the support from the Field Supervisor;   To identify the inputs necessary to implement the program, with the support of the Field Supervisor; To participate in the planning of weekly and monthly activities; To support the implementation of capacity building training for communities, collaborating with the Capacity Building team in the identification of training needs, the definition of training subjects and material and the implementation of the training; To collect the required information in the field to facilitate the follow up of the project, with the support of the Field Supervisor; To collect information to ensure the surveillance of the Food Security situation in the area of implementation of the project, when required;    To facilitate the evaluation of the project in the field, as required; To participate in assessments   1-   Organizing and providing support to communities and beneficiaries To participate in the training and education of beneficiaries according to the project requirements and in collaboration with the Capacity Building Team; To facilitate the provision of technical advice for the implementation of activities;     To organize and implement distributions, either in cash or in kind, related to activities of the project; Oversees overall project development and management responsabilities for the food security including budget management , donor compliance , reporting and staff management;  To ensure good working relationship between government, NGOs and communities   2-    Reporting To produce project activity reports from the area of operation as per reporting schedule or when needed; To report any changes in the context to allow for timely changes in the project activities.   Knowledge and Skills required: BA in social, Development, International Relations or similar field Minimum 3 years experience in development programs, preferably working in food security and livelihoods Experience in Project Management Experience in data collection and statistics Experience in fieldwork, methodologies, monitoring and reporting Coaching and training skills Very good Communication and presentation skills Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English Very Good Computer skills( word, Excel, Power Point, Access is a plus)
