Child Activities Animator

Terre des hommes Foundation (Lausanne) is extending its relief project of child protection for the people displaced from Syria. The project is in need of Child Activities Animators who will work in the implementation of the project in Saida area. The animator will sign and adhere to Tdh’s Child protection policy. Recreational activities: Organize recreational activities for targeted children on a case by case (large events, small groups cases). Define the activities to be implemented according to the children’s ages and situation. Deliver the animation to the children with their parents. Promote, ensure and establish the child as a central actor in the activities. Identify within the activities the children in need of further assistance. Act in the best interest of the child. Child activities Resources: Assist in the coordination and delivery of community child protection awareness raising events. Organize joint events with children from various communities. Liaise with potential recreational activities service providers and supervise the activities implemented with Tdh. Link the child, his/her family and community to child protection resources and networks of assistance. Requirements: Compulsory experience in animation with children, Social work understanding/experience and/or emergency / humanitarian action experience, Strong experience in providing recreational activities to children (drama, play, games, circus, sport, storytelling, drawing/painting, artistic activities, music), Openness to working with Palestinian, Lebanese and Syrian communities, Driving license, Computer and communication skills
