Online Portal Design And Development Consultant

  • Work closely with the Program Manager and other Team members to develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and ensure timely completion of deliverables; • Agree on the design of the web portal and the content management system (CMS); • Create and specify architectural and technical parameters and direct website content creation, enhancement and maintenance; • Provide advice on copyright and legal requirements on content from partners;   • Develop a web-based volunteer resources portal using the agreed upon CMS; • Develop and integrate tools for sharing knowledge, information and ideas; • Upload NVSP data, information and knowledge resources on the portal (for example available opportunities for youth; database of success stories, best practices and lessons learnt in volunteerism in Lebanon); • Identify, synthesize and upload content from other relevant institutions and add links to relevant websites; • Support the on-line portal administrator for the first two weeks to handle day-to-day site design, creation and updates, as well as be responsible for the technical aspects of the Web site, including performance issues such as speed of access, and approval of site content; • Communicate to the Program manager with efficiency and accuracy any progress and/or delays; • Alert colleagues to emerging technologies or applications and the opportunities to integrate them into operations and activities.
