Team Leader/financial Manager, Baladi Capacity Building, Lebanon

Project/Proposal Summary:   Building Alliances for Local Advancement, Development and Investment (BALADI) aims to improve public services at the local and regional level, promoting community participation in local governance decision making, access to reliable and affordable public services, and participatory and accountable local governance, as well as to achieve sustained and broad-based economic growth and environmental protection by engaging with sub-national government institutions, Lebanese registered grassroots organizations, and businesses. As a complementary activity, the BALADI CAP project is designed to bolster the activities of BALADI by providing organizational capacity assessment and development and enhancing the capacity of local organizations.    Position Summary:  The Team Leader/Financial Manager will hold a dual position as Financial Manager for the BALADI CAP project and Team Leader doing capacity building in the field. This is a full time position that will last for four years.    **Please note: This is a local position. Only candidates with Lebanese citizenship will be considered.** Responsibilities:  Lead financial and management capacity assessments of Lebanese NGOs.  Lead capacity building efforts for up to 50 local organizations by enhancing their financial management and internal governance capacity. Manage the capacity building team in the field. Oversee the financial management of the project’s activities and supervise the project’s finance team.  Qualifications:  Master’s degree in related field. Minimum of ten years of experience, five of which should be as an auditor at an auditing firm. Strong training and capacity building skills.
