Health Promotion/social Mobilisation

Objective of the post: Ensure that all health promotion activities are implemented under the guidance and supervision of the Expat Health Promoter.   Responsibilities:   General Responsibilities Responsible to implement the health promotion activities and social mobilisation activities towards the target population of refugees coming from the Syrian Conflict. Participate in the preparation of culturally competent messages and activities towards the target population Participate in the planning of activities Identify new opportunities to inform and sensitise the population when working in the field and discuss it with the supervisor Attends and participates actively in periodic staff meeting. Health Promotion/Social Mobilisation Activities Carry out initial socio-cultural investigation and analysis. Concur to investigate the communication means available locally. Concur to investigate level of knowledge of the disease within the population and health staff. Carry out health promotion and social mobilisation activities: To increase knowledge and understanding. To encourage changing risky behaviours. To adopt safe practices. If necessary, accompany mobile teams to carry out informal health promotion activities with families and neighbours of patients.   Accountable to: The Health Promotion/Social Mobilisation is accountable to the Expatriate Health Promoter Coordinator.
