Medical Consultant - Bekaa

 Provide technical assistance upon request for individual cases.   Attend monthly Medical consultants working group Under the supervision of the senior medical      consultant , the medical consultant will ensure to review and check the      medical cases which requires diagnostic test services and hospital      admissions. Take responsibility for hospital admission authorization      and other prior approval for health services on case by case that are in      need for secondary and tertiary care. Responsible for medical review and claims audit,      through the implementation of pre-set guidelines corporate policies and      procedures. Responsible for hospital bill cost control and      management before reimbursement as well as excellence in customer services  including medical auditing for hospitals. Develop and maintain excellent interpersonal skills with targeted population, hospitals and partners Review all hospital bills and note the final   diagnosis and perform the medical audit for the hospital bills. Review and approve the medical investigation tests  required Follow up all emergency hospital admissions over the phone 24/7 with the hospital and health office in charge. Ensure weekly presence of a total of minimum 18 hours (3 hours /5 days a week) in the hospitals/clinics/IMC office as requested  by management unit. Attend coordination meeting held by UNHCR and IMC in the north  and help to improve and enhance the performance of the medical care and assistance to the refugee Assist the health officer and senior health officer  in monitoring the hospital. Assist outreach health officer in completing the medical part in the Inter Agency Assessment form for complicated cases for hospital admission Responsible for referral of refugee to specialists  and follow up.  Coordinate  with physicians to clarify some missing information in the claim /medical report Report to senior medical consultant and senior Health  officer in the site on monthly basis on the cases referred or refused      using a specific template. Qualification and requirements Must hold a doctorate in medicine Knowledge of the MOPH prices(flat rates ) and auditing hospital bills Registered in the Lebanese Order of physicians Meticulous, refugee-customer oriented, with  excellent negotiating skills Good computer skills Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to work effectively with a team environment       honesty and integrity Ability to work under pressure
