Radio Room Operator

  Main responsibilities and tasks, under the supervision of the IT Responsible : Follows up telecommunications transmission activities. Ensures radio contacts and permanent field follow-up according to internal guidelines. Ensures information flow on security-related issues proactively. Keeps a permanent update of field movements. Registers and treats incoming and outgoing information confidentially, rapidly and with accuracy. Respects international and national radio procedures when contacting other stations. Uses radios only for professional reasons. Keeps messages short, clear (very understandable). Be disciplined when listening and when starting to transmit. Follows the clearness of the channels. Minimum required knowledge & experience Good command of spoken English. Good computer skills. Excellent knowledge of the geographically assigned environment. Capacity to integrate ICRC rules and procedures. Methodical person.
