Outreach Social Worker/social Worker

The social worker will be an essential source of providing accurate referrals when need be; i.e., the social worker will refer patients and clients to IMC supported clinics, hospitals, and canters; in addition to other local NGOs and INGOs.  Moreover, the social worker will dispense information about the various programs and services offered by IMC and its affiliates.  The social worker will be in-charge of dispensing information about returns to Iraqi refugees and families wanting to know more about the correct procedures and required documents needed to commence the process of returning back to their native land.  The social worker will be in-charge of dispensing information to displaced Syrians about the correct procedures and required documents needed for registration Identify families or individuals in need of ipsychosocial support or counseling through home/shelter visits. Collect information about visited vulnerablefamilies through interviews, observation, and tests carried out via outreach home visits. Conducting interviews with service users (Iraqi Refugees, Displaced Syrians and host population) and their families to assess and review their situation; Liaising with, and making referrals of specific cases Identify families or individuals in need of psychosocial support or counseling through home visits to Iraqi refugee      households. Encourage families to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, and help them to develop insight      into themselves and their relationships. Participating in training, supervision and team meetings. Conduct awareness sessions for Health and Mental Health. Deliverables: -        Number of outreach visits conducted -        Number of referrals made to mental health, health or other services. -        Number of beneficiaries receiving psychosocial or other services Reporting: Report  directly to IMC head social worker & area field officer Write monthly reports to be submitted regularly to IMC program Director/Regional Psychosocial Coordinator and Program support officer, providing timely updates as required Qualifications: Social Work background Minimum 2 – 3 years in the  field of social work Previous NGO experience is a plus Fluent in Arabic – Englishis a plus
