Consultancy Request Research Consultant (1 month) The purpose of the required consultancy: To develop a reader friendly situational analysis of Beirut in relation to perception of public safety, security and access to basic urban services Required Tasks: 1)    Conduct a comparative analysis of findings from baseline survey of vulnerability to safety, lack of basic services and violence that was led in four marginalized communities in Beirut 2)    Conduct a desk review of literature on the topic of safety, security and urban services in Beirut to support the findings of the baseline survey 3)    Based on tasks (1) and (2) lead the development of a reader friendly, report portraying a situational analysis of Beirut with regards to security, public safety and access to basic urban services 4)    Submit a final, ready to be published, report in English with clear methodology and analysis of findings – to be used as a reference material on the topic  Consultancy Period The consultancy period is from June 1st, 2013 till June 30th, 2013 Qualifications required: Research skills, excellent English writing skills, excellent facilitation skills and previous experience in research assessments.
