National Project Assistant

  Reporting directly to the Regional Project Manager and under the direct supervision of the Chief of Mission in Beirut, and in close coordination with the Regional Office in Cairo including the Regional Director and the Regional Migrant Assistance Specialist (‘RTS’), the National Project Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Regional Project Manager in the implementation of nationally-based activities within the EU funded ‘Project to Protect and Assist Vulnerable and Exploited Migrant Workers in the Middle East’ (‘PAVE’).:     Assistance to the management and implementation of the nationally-based activities within the regional IOM project, PAVE. Adherence to project established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work plans, data management tools (e.g. usage of MiMOSA), and other management tools. Data entry of relevant beneficiary data, in line with IOM’s Data Protection Principles. Screening of beneficiaries for direct assistance, where requested. Provide direct translation or translate documents assist in writing minutes of meetings and emails. assist the project officer with the organization and any project conferences/workshops/trainings. Assist also with the organization offocus group activities with migrant community to raise awareness on migrant rights or with other stakeholders to develop the awareness campaign key messages. assist the Project Officer to follow up with all relevant national project partners. Assist the Project Officer in developping project implementation tools not limited to developing baseline information for the project, pre and post questionnaire, and monitoring and evaluation questionnaire. provide administrative support for the project. Undertake duty travels as required Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
