About Skoun: Skoun is a non-profit, Lebanese organization and the first outpatient therapeutic facility in Lebanon that offers prevention and treatment to drug users. Skoun is committed to bringing life, health, and hope to drug users and their families through a sustainable treatment model for Lebanon and the Arab region. We strive to make addiction a mainstream health care issue and drug prevention an integrated component of education. About the project: Skoun has now launched its Advocacy Campaign to submit a Drug Law Amendment Draft to the Lebanese Parliament. The advocacy work aims at improving policies related to drug abuse and addiction in Lebanon, through adopting and implementing the draft law. One of the major activities of the advocacy campaign is to create a parallel Media Campaign using social media tools (mainly, a face book page) The aim of the Media Campaign is to: Sensitize the public about the importance of law amendment through press releases, interviews, storytelling… Pressure politicians, stakeholders and policy makers to adopt the law. Publish news, activities, articles, material and updates about the advocacy campaign. Create an interactive platform for activists to share experience and knowledge about drug addiction. Ensure the documentation of all activities and events of the campaigns. Skoun announces a “Volunteering Opportunity” for people wishing to help and become activists in this campaign specifically in the Media Campaign. Tasks: Continuously collect material related to the advocacy campaign and suitable for the media campaign. Continuously Update the Campaign’s face book page and keep it interactive. Come up with creative viral campaigns and applicable ideas to support the advocacy campaign. Assist in implementing Skoun’s Media Strategy.   Required qualifications: Reading/writing proficiency in the Arabic language. Good communication skills. Familiar with social media Human rights oriented.
