SCOPE OF WORK:
The teacher will work at the women’s and girls’ center to provide english classes to approximately 15 teenage girls over a period of 3 months. The teacher will be responsible for organizing, coordinating and conducting the classes twice a week. The course is intended to increase the skill base of girls in the refugee and host communities and support girls’ empowerment.
Who this position reports to: WPE Caseworker in Berkayel
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct 2 weekly classes for teenage girls at the women’s center;
Ensure classes are conducted in a timely manner and students attend on time;
Identify challenges faced by students and assist as appropriate;
Share identified challenges and report to the WPE Caseworker;
Monitor attendance and follow up with any drop-outs;
Provide a comfortable and safe environment for teenage girls;
Conduct continuous assessment to monitor progress of students;
Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
