Long Term Observer (Lto)

  JOB TITLE Long Term Observer (LTO) EMPLOYER LEBANESE ASSOCIATION FOR DEMOCRATIC ELECTIONS LOCATION Various districts of Lebanon SHIFT Full Time DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION 29 March 2013      RESPONSIBILITIES: 1-      Monitor the pre-election period in their district 2-      Submit weekly monitoring reports 3-      Conduct citizens’ interviews on the subject of elections and electoral reform 4-      Organize and facilitate panel discussions with local community 5-      Conduct meetings with candidates and political representatives in cooperation with district  coordinators 6-      Submit weekly (or upon need) reports and minutes of activities to LADE’s office 7-      Perform other duties as assigned by the LTO coordinator and Head of Research Department REQUIREMENTS: 1-     Qualification and experience -          Bachelor degree in Law, Human Sciences or any related field -          Experience with NGOs is an advantage -          Independent, not affiliated with any political party   2-     Skills -          Willingness to learn and evolve in a stimulating environment -          Good interpersonal and communication skills -          Good writing skills -          Interest in elections and electoral reform -          Flexibility, mobility ( training in Beirut)   3-     Languages -           Fluent in Arabic and English Observers of 2009 and 2010 elections are strongly encouraged to apply.
