Short Term Marketing Consultant

The Volunteers for Economic Growth Alliance (VEGA) (Lebanon Investment in Microfinance) LIM Program is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the International Executive Service Corps (IESC). (LIM) partnered with Eight of the leading Microfinance Institutions (MFI) to maximize access of finance to micro enterprises and small businesses operating in the Agribusiness, Tourism and Information and Communication (ICT) value chains. The provision of loans to small and medium enterprises is accompanied by tailored technical assistance provided by financial and technical experts to Microfinance Institutions disbursing loans across the rural and peri urban areas in Lebanese. Through increased access to finance, the LIM Program enhances sustainability and helps expand services of businesses in rural and peri-urban communities. Microfinance institutions need to continually build and expand their unique capabilities especially their team of managers and loan officers, in order to stay competitive and realize higher levels of performance. Investing in and developing the MFI talent is a key need that needs to be squarely addressed in order to achieve high performance and efficient operations, which creates sustainable value and measurable impact. LIM program is supporting its partner Microfinance Institutes (MFIs) through provision of technical assistance, training and capacity building.  Job Description:  LIM has an opening for a short term Marketing Consultant to provide a tailor made marketing mentoring Program in the form of “Marketing Strategies for MFIs” to LIM MFI partners. The Mentoring Program addresses the following issues:         Assessing and Critical Feedback regarding Marketing Positioning, Branding, and marketing materials for the MFIs Recommending an Effective low cost Marketing campaign Corporate Branding and Identity Market awareness Marketing Material Product Visibility   Trainers Qualifications Experienced / Dynamic Trainer in developing Marketing Strategies Direct work experience 5+ years in the Microfinance  or financial Sector Experience in designing Marketing Strategies for financial services Excellent training skills   Deliverables Collaborate with LIM team on needs of the Microfinance Institutes Provide recommendations on Marketing low cost strategies and critical Marketing analysis and feedback on the partners’ marketing materials Provide recommendations on Marketing low cost strategies and materials for the LIM program approach to promoting microfinance sector to the Lebanese public
