Role and Responsibilities Working as an important member of a diverse team, the community mobilizer support the implementation of the emergency winterization shelter project through activities such as assessments, field distribution, monitoring under the coordination of the Project Manager.  Project Overview The conflict in Syria has erupted into a full-scale civil war endangering lives in almost every community in the country. Desperate families, caught in the crossfire, are leaving everything behind and fleeing into neighbouring countries. Lebanon, one of these countries, has received a large influx of refugees from Syria. To assist the arriving Syrian refugees, Medair’s team in Lebanon intends to implement an emergency shelter project with cash for work and mapping activities in the Bekaa Valley.   Medair Medair brings life-saving relief and rehabilitation in disasters, conflict areas, and other crises by working alongside the most vulnerable. Distribution Assist in planning distribution activities Support logistics activities Assist in the implementation of distribution activities Complete associated beneficiary recipient documentation Communication Liaise with local communities on site Assist in translation as needed. Communicate implementation problems or issues to Project Manager. Reporting Participate in the generation of the final reporting of the project via post implementation analysis.  Qualifications University studies preferably in the field or social work, development or similar field Languages Strong working knowledge of Arabic and English (spoken and written) Experience / Competencies Minimum of 2 years experience in NGO or community based programming. Work experience in the Bekaa Valley region of Lebanon. Strong communication skills Strong character traits-adaptability, ability to handle stress, sensitivity, honesty, integrity
