Logistician

Main areas of responsibility (in coordination with CISP Project Manager): Logistic support related to field and office needs (e.g. goods purchasing, utilities payment, cars and office premises maintenance, etc…); Support in translation for CISP Project Coordinator and any other international staff, mainly in the field; Support CISP to the achievement of the Expected Results of the WASH projects for Syrian Refugees and Affected Populations to be implemented in North Lebanon; Contact to and co-operation with relevant local authorities.   Specific duties: The Logistician will assist CISP in the implementation, management and co-ordination of the Project in terms of: The Logistician will be the key field staff in charge of: The Logistician is responsible for preparing and submitting weekly progress reports to the Project Coordinator, or when requested; Other duties as may be assigned by the Project Manager and agreed upon; Collecting all the needed data and/or information related to the projects; Performing detailed needs assessment of water and sanitation situation in the selected area, identifying beneficiaries and recommending appropriate interventions (e.g. WASH facilities refurbishment, supply and installation of water tanks; distribution of NFIs; etc…) to improve their living conditions; Procurement activities (supply and work contracts); Office identification, settlement and maintenance; Identification of potential suppliers and/or contractors; Cars maintenance and car log-book Assisting in planning and organising the detailed needs assessment; Translation support for CISP Project Coordinator and any other international staff during meetings with the beneficiaries and the local Authorities; Support CISP Project Coordinator and local project coordinator/engineer in supervision visits to all project sites under construction.   Qualifications and skills: High school diploma (technical specialization) or other diploma supported by specific working experience in building sites Works sites experience Good computer skills Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic languages, both oral and written Valid Driving License and ability to drive both automatic/manual cars Previous experience in working with national/international NGOs is an advantage   Personal qualities: Ability to work both independently and as a team member Excellent communications skills Ability to work in different cultural environments

Selected candidates will be invited to an interview at CISP office in Beirut or in Tripoli. The commencement date will be immediately after selection. The duty station is Tripoli, North Lebanon and the foreseen duration of the contract is four months, with one month trial period.
