Deputy Shelter Program Manager

Responsibilities: Under the authority of the Shelter Program Manager, the deputy Program Manager will: Supervise the outreach workers’ team and the Construction Supervisors Take part in the definition of the Shelter program implementation methodology Guarantee the timely implementation of the Shelter activities and ensure that SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL’s quality standards are met Task description: Project Design In collaboration with the Shelter Program Manager, adapt the design of the project as necessary, in particular, the content of the shelter kit Beneficiary Selection In collaboration with the Shelter Program Manager and the protection team, adapt the beneficiary selection methodology as necessary, in particular, the beneficiary selection criteria and the registration mechanism Project Implementation Supervise and manage the implementation of the Shelter activities, including: the distribution of the Shelter kits and the organisation of the payments for the Cash for Rent activity; Supervise the installation of the Shelter Kits by beneficiaries and make sure that Solidarités standards are respected. Monitoring and Evaluation In collaboration with the Shelter Program Manager, adapt the monitoring and evaluation tools and methodologies as necessary; Support the monitoring and evaluation surveys conducted by protection team and the construction supervisors. Reporting Report your activities to the Shelter Program Manager; Implement the regular reporting for the Shelter activities progress using the appropriate formats, reports and databases Report any type of problem encountered on the field Candidate’s profile: Background in civil engineering preferable Previous experience in project management Strong management skills mandatory Very comfortable with standard office software. Previous experience in humanitarian field preferable Excellent spoken and written English or French mandatory
