1. Job Purpose: To detect track and document elections violations and provide action oriented research that promotes the compliance with elections international standards and best practices.
3. Key Result Areas:
a. Development of a relevant and effective research & violations tracking strategy that contributes to the achievement of LADE’s vision and strategic goals:
- Assist in the development of LADE’s strategic plan
- Produce a draft program strategy and present to the ED & Board for approval
- Produce yearly action plan for his department and present to the ED for approval
b. Design and develop project proposals (elections action oriented research & violations) and assist the ED in discussing them with potential donors:
c. Oversee the implementation of elections research and violations tracking projects/activities and ensure the quality of the work carried out by his/her subordinates.
d. Manage the human resources of the department:
- Assist in the recruitment of the required human resources
- Provide new comers with the needed induction and assign tasks and responsibilities
- Conduct performance appraisal for the staff of the department and make recommendations
- Coach the staff and develop their capacities
e. Assist in the executive management of LADE
- Participate at the LADE’s managers’ meetings and at Board meetings if requested by the ED
- Produce regular progress reports and other reports if required
- Assist in the organization of the general assembly and other LADE’s major gatherings
- Ensures the compliance with LADE’s values, policies and procedures
- Assist in the creation of an enabling work environment
4. Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- Master Degree in public administration, political science, NGO management or any related field.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, and Arabic ,French is an asset
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in action oriented research of which at least 2 in a supervisory position.
- Strong background & expertise in Electoral Law, Electoral Reform and Election Observation.
Computer
- Expert in main computer applications (Microsoft Office Application…).
