Save the Children has been operating in Lebanon since 1999 and is recognized for its commitment to accountability, innovation and collaboration.  Save the Children currently implements programs in Child Protection, Education, CRC and Emergency Response throughout Lebanon.   Save the Children is seeking qualified candidates to fulfill the following positions, on  6 monthwith the possibility of extension contracts, for its Lebanon Country Office, in Kubayyat. Finance-Admin Officer: To ensure that the record-keeping for the Qobayyat Office is undertaken rationally, safely and effectively and that all financial plans, budgets, contracts, agreements and records are kept up to date and secured for access by authorized personnel only.     QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE   Bachelor Degree in Accounting, finance or business management Fresh graduates are accepted Able to work within a team Very good written and spoken English and Arabic languages and communication skills Availability for internal travel. Organized with good in time management, and respect deadlines Trustworthy Analytical skills and accuracy Prior experience with donors’ requirements and NGOs is an asset Job description: Support the delivery of effective Programmes, in both development and humanitarian contexts, by: Ability and willingness to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of crisis or emergency. Handle petty cash, prepare invoice authorizations and cash transactions. Manage field office filing and documentation Control Petty Cash replenishment for the Kobayyat Office. Receive cash when applicable and issue receipts. Handle payable/expenditure accounts. Prepare regular entries to the general journal-Cash and petty cash offline spread sheet. Prepare proper coding on all vouchers for valid account/Source of fund /donor combinations. Check invoices, bids analysis and calculations. Handle Time sheets and Transportation fees for staff. Follow-up on missing signatures and documents. Request payments from the national office and handle checks with the beneficiaries. Assist in Preparing the monthly cash reconciliation Assist in preparing cash budgets reports, and controlling the financial reports of the sub-office. Contribute in preparation of all periodic financial statements and reports as per instructions, and to prepare any other necessary report and compilations as requested by the Country Director and finance manager Assist the auditors as required, generally and in their yearly reviews. Review and monitor payments and financial reports from Partner Organizations.  Hence, conduct field visits to partners for monitoring and capacity building purposes. Maintain the fixed assets register at the sub-office Receive and handle phone calls and visitors to the office Handle arriving/departing visitors and staff Update staff contact list on weekly basis Provide logistics and admin support in general for visits, meetings and workshops Provide regular secretarial tasks such as taking minutes of staff meetings, correspondence, updating general contact lists, following up on stationary needs Filing of general office documents Undertake any other tasks requested by the Field Manager when the need arises.  All finance tasks should be coordinated with the Country Finance Manager.   APPLICATION PROCESS   Please note that the closing date for applications is Feb 28th.   The selection committee will review all applications as they are received.
