Gender Specialized Journalist Trainer

“Media Supporting Women Leaders” Project  The SMART Center and Women in Front joint project entitled: “Media Supporting Women Leaders” will improve the participation and influence of women in the public life and political process in Lebanon, by implementing a national media strategy that will promote a positive image of women leaders and potential women candidates. This national campaign will achieve a breakthrough in the number of women participating as voters and their confidence in women candidates.   General Purpose: Trainers to take part in a 2-day workshop for 30 journalists on the following: - Training on writing articles, interviews and feature stories about significant women - Instructions on educating voters and encouraging women leaders and to change the image of women through media and promote her as a leader.  Description:       Train a group of 30 journalists to raise awareness on Gender related issues and to improve their reporting and writings skills in that field and be agents of change to make a better image of women leaders in Lebanon Trainer Profile: . BA degree in Journalism/Communication or related field . At least 5 years of relevant experience and preferably in the fields of Human Rights, Women's Rights or Gender equality. . Strongly believes in women empowerment or has experience in the field. . Extensive working experience in conducting trainings. . He/She has skills in developing training contents, analytical and informative material. . Good social and communication skills . Experience and familiarity with civic engagement, politics, and Lebanese context.
