Following the year long crisis in the Syrian Arab Republic, that has caused the displacement of civilians in Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan, Handicap International is implementing projects in Lebanon and Jordan, aiming at mitigating the impact of the crisis on the Syrian refugees and the host communities.
In Lebanon as well as inJordan, Handicap International aims to improve the access to emergency rehabilitation cares for the Syrian refugees at hospital and community level and to improve the coverage of the specific needs of the most vulnerable people affected by the crisis at the community level. InLebanon, the targeted areas are the northern Bekaa Valley and Tripoli, whereas inJordan, the targeted area is the northern region closed to the boarder.
In Bekaa, Handicap International aims to improve the coverage of basics and specific needs of the most vulnerable people affected by the crisis at the community level, and by developing a tailored response to improve conditions of life during winter period.
In Tripoli, Handicap International aims to provide direct support to syrian injured refugies at hospital and community level. Besides, HI aims to improve the coverage of specific needs for vulnerable persons in the North.
General objective of the position: The Human Resources Officer is ensuring that all the HR processes, rules and deadlines are handled according to Handicap international standards.
According to the position, the HR Officer must keep all the data confidential, and share it only with the accurate persons
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Ensure recruitment follow-up and respect of HI procedures: publish vacancy announcement, participate to interviwes, make the offer to selected candidate, make the induction briefing ect
- Ensure working contracts follow-up and respect of HI procedures and Lebanon law: begining and end of contract, amemdement preparation, salary paymement, CNSS and income taxe registration, leave & appraisal follow-up
- Ensure administrative tasks are done in time and according to HI standards: flights or hotel booking, visa and Embassay registration for foreigners, various declarations to Lebanese organism, MoUs follow-up
- Is aware of new law, taxes rules, government communication ect
- Is the focal point in Beirut for the team for all HR issues, and report to his/her line manager
