Warehouse Manager

Role and Responsibilities Working as an important member of a diverse team, the warehouse manager has the role of supporting the logistics activities needed for the implementation of an emergency project. On a day-to-day basis, the Warehouse Manager carries out a variety of functions required to ensure the logistical needs of the programme related to stock management are met and that all activities are delivered efficiently, accurately and on-time.   Project Overview In response to the Syrian Crisis Medair’s programme is delivering emergency assistance to Syrian refugees through winterization activities in Lebanon in the sector of Shelter.   Medair Medair brings life-saving relief and rehabilitation in disasters, conflict areas, and other crises by working alongside the most vulnerable. Founded in 1989, Medair’s unwavering commitment continues to bring hope to the world’s most vulnerable.   Workplace Starting Date Contract Details Zahle, Lebanon ASAP until 31.03.2013     Key Activity Areas Facility maintenance Maintaining the warehouse facility in accordance with Medair standards   Stock management Receiving and dispatching of stock items according to Medair procedure Conducting physical inventory Stock control   Transport activities Participate in the organizing transport of items to and from the warehouse   Staff management Participate in the hiring and coordination of work load of casual labor in order to achieve time bound tasks   Languages Strong working knowledge of Arabic and English (spoken and written)   Experience / Competencies/Qualifications 1-2 years’ work experience in warehouse management Technical studies, university studies preferable Strong communication skills Strong character traits-adaptability, ability to handle stress, flexibility, honesty, integrity
