Social Worker

Terre des hommes Foundation (Lausanne) is implementing a project entitled “Protection of extremely vulnerable Palestinian children in Lebanon”. The project is in need of one social worker who will work in Palestinian camps and gatherings in the area of Tyre. The social worker will sign and adhere to Tdh’s Child protection policy.  Case Management: Assume primary case management responsibility to project targeted children, Ensure that risk assessment, case mapping and exit planning is conducted, Ensure a prompt and timely response to children determined and identified at ‘high risk’ through project activities, Promote, ensure and establish the child as a central actor in case management practices, Link the child, his/her family and community to child protection resources and networks of assistance.  Child Protection Resources: Identify and liaise with local resources for referral of cases, Promote, facilitate, coach and when necessary deliver training to child protection resources. Requirement: Social work understanding/experience and experience with children, Openness to working with Palestinian communities, Driver’s license, Computer and communication skills.
