The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is a humanitarian, non-governmental and nonprofit organization, founded in 1956, that works in more than 30 countries around the world.
DRC has been operating in Lebanon since 2004, working with Palestinian and Iraqi refugees, as well as Lebanese communities affected by the war in 2006. DRC is committed to basic humanitarian principles; including impartiality and neutrality, and offers the highest standards of accountability to the people it serves.
DRC is inviting candidates to apply for a short term consultancy as a "Workshop Facilitator" to support an activity under the project "Empowerment of Women at Risk in Lebanon", funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
The Facilitator will assist the DRC project coordinator to prepare and facilitate a one day meeting between five key NGOs that work on the protection and empowerment of migrant domestic workers (MDWs), where the meeting aims to evaluate phase I of the project and come up with a implementation strategy for phase II of the project.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare with DRC project coordinator content of the workshop.
Evaluate all the coordination activities implemented in phase I (2011-2012.)
Evaluate the outcomes of the coordination body created for NGOs working with migrant domestic workers, and assist the NGOs to collectively agree on the terms of proceeding with the coordination body.
Assist five NGOs to plan coordination activities for the 2nd phase of the project.
Facilitate and compile an “agreement of coordination” between NGOs for phase IIof the project.
Document, Compile and report all related material from the meeting.
Competencies:
Knowledge and understanding of concepts and approaches relevant to protection, Migrant Domestic workers, women at risk and SGVB.
Extensive experience in managing and facilitating workshops and group related activities, and knowledge of Lebanese civil society.

Qualifications & Experience:
University degree in Social Sciences, or Social Work.
Experience in work with Migrant Domestic Workers is a plus
Minimum 4 years of work experience in any related social and management fields or any other related field.
