Social Worker

Terre des hommes Foundation (Lausanne) is implementing a project entitled “The protection of Dom children in Southern Lebanon”. The project is in need of one Social Worker. The Social Worker will sign and adhere to Tdh’s Child protection policy. The Social worker will: Assume primary case management responsibility to project targeted children, Ensure data is collected and collated to prove the achievement of project objectives, Ensure that risk assessment, case mapping and exit planning is conducted, Ensure a prompt and timely response to children determined and identified at ‘high risk’ through project activities, Promote, ensure and establish the child as a central actor in case management practices, Link the child, his/her family and community to child protection resources and networks of assistance, Attend and participate in regular case management meetings, Maintain case management files to a high standard, complete with up-to-date information, Act in the best interest of the child. Requirements: Social work / child protection experience and background, Very good communication skills and diplomacy, Driving license, Willingness to travel to the site locations, Openness to working with Dom communities, Computer skills.
