Project Coordinator

Amel Association International is expanding its activities for refugees and is seeking a Project Coordinator to join the team to ensure continued support for the most vulnerable populatons.    The Project Coordinator will support a UNHCR funded project to provide educational and pyschosocial support to refugees and manages a team to ensure proper and smooth implmentation of the program. S/he serves as a focal point to donors and other stakeholders. Responsiblities include the following:   Tasks and duties   Program Management       -      Serve as main focal point/liaison with international donors -      With coordination with center/field staff, develop and plan a refugee program implemented in AMEL Community Centers. -      Provide overall management support for the program: human resources, financial management, service contracts, procurement, monitoring and evaluation. -      Set a strategy for the Refugee Programme in compliance with AMEL internal coherence and donor rules and regulations -      Assess the projects and suggest new projects and interventions -      Set priorities, propose modifications or corrective measures for the projects that fit with the interest of refugees and the programme’s objectives     Financial management   -      Develop budget and prepare monthly budget requests to accounting department -      Manage projects’ expenses according to the budget and in accordance with standard operating procedures -      Ensure budget follow-up and appropriate use of resources -      Produce financial reports to donors and partners     Fundraising/New Business -      Identify potential donors for the Refugee Program and other programmes -      Draft concept notes, proposals and budgets for the Refugee Program and other programmes   Human Resources Management -      Recruit the required staff for the implementation  of the projects in coordination with the Head of centers -      Draft contracts,  job descriptions and Terms of reference for staff -      Supervise staff and monitor performance to ensure that the projects are implemented according to the expected results and the terms of contracts -      Provide adequate training and continuous support necessary for staff development and well-being -      Conduct regular evaluation for staff   Reporting / Representation / Networking -      Narrative and Financial reporting to donors and partners -      Liaise with relevant NGOs, government agencies and national institutions to maintain a network and cooperation in social, psychological and educational fields -      Represent Amel Association in coordination meetings with partners and NGOs -      Coordinate monitoring visits    Qualifications: -     Bachelor's degree in international development, international relations, social affairs or other related field. -     At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, managing projects for the non-profit sector -     Familiarity with UNHCR rules and regulations-a plus -     Fluency in Arabic and English -     Strong managerial skills, organized, and flexible               Experience required: At least 5 years Education degree: Bachelor Degree Field of education: Bachelors Degree in International Development, Social Development or related field.
